Meditation

Meditation is a practice where an individual uses techniques such as mindfulness, focusing the mind on a particular object, thought, or activity, to achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm state. It has been practiced for thousands of years in various forms across different cultures and religions. Meditation can help reduce stress, improve concentration, and promote emotional health and well-being.

Types of Meditation:

Mindfulness

Involves being fully present and engaged in the current moment, observing thoughts and feelings without judgement.

Concentration

Focuses the mind on a single point of reference, such as breathing , a word, or a candle flame.

Loving-Kindness

Focuses on developing feelings of compassion and love towards oneself and others.

Guided

Led by a teacher either in-person or via audio/video, meditators are guided through the process.
